I am an educator and have used C++ in various computer science courses since 1990 (Borland Turbo C++ 1.0). An integral part of my doctoral research in the mid to late 1990s involved a large C++ (gcc) graphical interface project. My current interests include managing in a coherent way the power and flexibility that C++ provides, thereby making it more accessible to those with limited programming experience. Also, with the current rapid pace of change in the C++ standard, I want to stay on top of the evolving best practices for using C++ for solve common programming problems.
